Honda Society Sunday Recruit

Cape Town’s silent night creeping Honda’s reveal themselves in the day light.

What was supposed to be a chilled afternoon of relaxation after a busy weekend for the Movere team, didn’t end up so relaxing.

The previous night, Readon Beerwinkel and his team, German Stance Crew SA had their official launch out in Goodwood. The next day it was said that we will be running off to a small little private shoot in Cape Town’s CBD, then we will be off to a car wash that was hosted by Havok Squad. And for the Movere team, 98% of times, our schedule doesn’t execute itself as planned. This day, was one of them.

After meeting up in the Cape Town CBD for the first photo shoot, we then make our way to the cash wash out in Brooklyn. We planned that it was going to be an afternoon snack from here…so we thought.

A gathering out in Belville was brought to our attention. Honda Society was gathering out at Starlight Diner, and immediately our GPS was set in this direction.

But as stated, our plans never work. We ended up in Canal Walk quickly, then we rushed off Starlight Diner, where we decided, “lets go get food at Tygervalley!”

After rushing to get food, and some new equipment, we were back on track. We pulled up, got our little parking spot, filled out tummies and pulled out our gear – time to play.

In the parking lot we found Honda’s galore. There were everything from Accord, Ballade, Civic, Prelude, some sexy S2000’s and even a little Jazz joined the party for not too long.

The Honda Society automotive club of Cape Town were recruiting, allowing for new folks to sign up and join the likings of one of the biggest Honda clubs to be found in Cape Town, South Africa.

This brought a Sunday afternoon of car talk and fun with fellow car enthusiasts. Whilst the guys were socializing, about 2 other photographers, except the Movere Team, were making their way in between the cars, trying to find that perfect angle as the sun was setting over Cape Town.

The afternoon made for some great fun, new names were met and of course Honda Society had new members on their list. We too found cars we have never before seen. This makes one wonder on how many beauties are actually out there, and gathering up the dust in the garage or being kept away from guys who would really appreciate the true beauty and nature of certain vehicles.

Read more on how the afternoon went down as the sun, diming the lights over Belville, and of course we have more pictures available in the February 2017 edition of Movere Digizine – Cape Town’s Motoring Journal.
